Cookie Policy
Last updated: 21 June 2026
1. Introduction: What is a cookie?
A "cookie" is a small text file stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to site owners. This policy explains, transparently, which cookies we use on oetc-rights.eu and for what purposes, in accordance with European rules.
2. Data Controller
The controller for any data collected through cookies is the association Observatoire Européen pour la Transparence des Coopératives (OETC), registered office 200 rue de la Croix Nivert, 75015 Paris, France. For more on who we are and how we handle personal data in general, see our Privacy Policy.
3. Cookies We Use
Our website is intentionally minimal. It currently uses only strictly necessary (technical) cookies, and it does not use analytics, performance, advertising, or tracking cookies. We do not profile our visitors.
- Strictly necessary cookies: essential to let you browse the site and use its basic functions. They do not require your consent, since without them the site could not work properly.
- Third-party cookies (not currently used): we may, in the future, integrate third-party services — for example an interactive AI assistant (ElevenLabs) or an online payment service (Stripe) for membership fees and donations. Such services may set their own cookies on your device. If and when we add them, they will be loaded only after you have given your consent, and this policy will be updated to describe them.
4. Your Consent
Because our site currently uses only strictly necessary cookies, no consent is required to browse it, and we do not display a cookie consent banner. Should we introduce cookies that require consent (such as the third-party services mentioned above), we will display a clear banner allowing you to accept, refuse, or customise your choices, together with an always-accessible way to review and change them at any time.
5. Controlling Cookies via Your Browser
Independently of our site, you can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse all cookies or accept them only for certain sites. Guides are available for the most common browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge).
6. Your Rights
As a data subject, you may exercise your GDPR rights as described in our Privacy Policy. For any request relating to your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer at dpo@oetc-rights.eu.
7. Updates to this Policy
We may update this policy at any time, for example if we introduce new services or in response to regulatory changes. Any update will be published on this page.
